Grapes are sour:
Once a fox was very hungry. He was roaming about in search of food. It reached a garden. Some branches of ripe grapes were hanging down a vine. The mouth of the fox watered to eat them.
But the garden wall was very low. It jumped over the garden wall to reach the branches of grapes. He could not reach them. He jumped again and again but failed to get at them. He was completely tired. He realized that it was impossible for it to reach the grapes. He went away saying, ”they are sour and not good to eat. If eat them, I shall fall ill.”
Moral: The grapes are sour if they are not within reach
OR,
Once, a fox was very hungry. He was searching for food in a forest. After some time, he came to a vineyard where bunches of ripe grapes were hanging very high. The fox got tempted at the sight of the grapes. He thought that they must be very sweet and wished to have a delicious meal of those grapes. So he started to jump to reach the grapes. He tried again and again but could no how touch any grape. At last he lost heart and went away. He consoled himself saying that grapes were sour and he did not want them.
OR
Once a hungry fox went about in search of food and reached a vineyard. He stopped near one of the trees that bore beautiful ripe grapes which were hanging in bunches. His mouth watered. He thought that he would eat the ripe grapes to satisfy his hunger.
So he consoled himself by thinking that these grapes must be sour, which he should not taste. And it is better to leave the vineyard and look for food somewhere else. So the fox went away.
